Three rooms on one square.
Everything we've built on Wolstenholme Square sits within a few doors of everything else — so a wedding can move from ceremony to reception to last orders without anyone needing to leave the square.
Clubhouse
Two floors. Round tables for 150 on the ground floor and 60 on the mezzanine, or 240 standing. Conferences, weddings, awards nights.
Baby Clubhouse
The smaller sister room: a four-metre black quartz bar, floor-to-ceiling windows, its own kitchen. Ten guests or a hundred, same standard.
Dicey Reilly's
Ten screens, one giant screen, four private booths and surround sound. Available for private hire around the fixture list.
Approach
Why we don't brand our hotels.
Most groups buy a building and paint their name on it. We're the largest independent, unbranded hotel collection in the north of England, and we'd rather keep what's already there.
Character comes with the address
A Georgian townhouse and a 127-bedroom city hotel shouldn't feel the same, so we don't make them. No group carpet, no group lobby, no group welcome script.
The standard travels, the styling doesn't
The same team runs every property. Housekeeping, kitchens, event delivery and maintenance are held to one benchmark — guests just don't see the seams.
We restore rather than rebuild
Listed buildings, former hotels, tired rooms above good bones. We'd rather bring something back than put something new up, and we keep reinvesting once we have.
